Martha Washington Heights Neighborhood Association
The Association was incorporated in 1987. According to the Bylaws, membership is open to “Each family living, or owning property, in one of the Sections A, B, C, D, or O, as designated on the Martha Washington Heights Subdivision map.”
The constitution states, “the purpose of this Association shall be to unite all families living, or owning property, in Martha Washington Heights Subdivision, Knox County, Tennessee, into a community association dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the beauty, tranquility, integrity, safety, and healthful environment of the community.
To collectively act or react to problems that infringe upon the above principles, whether their origin is within or without the Martha Washington Heights Subdivision boundary, or if they directly or indirectly have an adverse influence upon these principles.
To work and cooperate with other groups with similar interests. It shall be the further purpose of this Association to promote neighborliness and mutual respect.”
